Our MissionBuilding a Scholarship Bequest

Keith Reed '72
I enjoyed my time at Lawrence-maybe a little too much. Playing soccer games conflicted with the T-Th-S schedule for a required Econ course, and missing roughly 1/3 of the classes, I eked by for a couple of years. The hockey team was a blast, playing in the Appleton rec league-so cold one night that our goalie's skate blade snapped off! Changing gears Junior year, I switched to a major in Classics, and spent the second half of the year at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome.
A number of years ago, I began building a scholarship fund. Not restricted to any group or field of study, but to assist kids who might not otherwise be able to afford a similar experience. I've made a provision in my estate plans to increase the scholarship, but I'm also hoping to be around long enough to make it substantial by adding to it annually. I would encourage others to do likewise-we won't be here in perpetuity!
