At Lawrence University I learned how to read, write, and think critically. From the first semester I learned how to participate in civil seminar conversations about a shared and common text through analysis of arguments and evaluation of evidence. I learned what it means to be a good citizen, a good person, human.
The skills I acquired during my undergraduate education have served me well in life. The financial support I received from Lawrence University made it possible for me to attend college. I consider my gift in my will a return on the investment in order to support the future of liberal arts education at this institution.
